The standard motors tend to become weak, slow and sometimes die all together. These are a more modern design and produce more power lifting and dropping the glass more effectively.

They are a straight fit and do not need any modifying. If you need a regulator please ask and we can supply them. The black plastic cover that sits over the motor is tight on this. You may have to heat the plastic cover up with a hot air get to allow it to mould slightly bigger to fit the motor.

Other than that the fitment is perfect. Put your old motor in a box and we will get it collected free of charge. This will fit all of the XJS convertibles, the plug does change to the later facelift style. An adaptor plug for you. Please note the picture is a library image.
